Day 2, of the Boot camp, June 7th 2022, came with a lot of improvements. We already know who we are, who the team leads were and what tasks laid before us. Before this, there were somewhat of a contestation between the fintech app we would use as some members wanted a brand they’ve either used or worked with before while others wanted to work on something novel. So the team lead decided to open a poll (survey) where each member can democratically decide the preferred platform they would love to work on.

This was done to ensure a free and fair process of bring on board each member’s opinion, ensuring that each member’s voice is heard. This revolutionized the digital marketing democratic process of the portfolio team 9 and also ensured cooperate unity and a sense of belonging amongst members.

The polls ended and the fate of the team for week 1 was sealed, as the analytics of the poll showed the team members collective decision of which Flutterwave was picked as the preferred brand of choice.

Immediately, tasks delegation commenced and each member of the team were given their respective tasks, to which they gladly accepted. Lahmidey, Munachim and Hope worked on newsletters while the others Nelo, joseph, and 5 others worked on the blog posts.

P.S Leading a team isn’t as rosy as anyone may acclaim but it was a learning process of cooperate responsibility, team work, acceptance of our individual strength and a recognition of our collective goal which is to become better digital marketers.
